My personal experience with Insanity: I’ve gone through the Insanity program twice now and I can defintely say that I am in the best shape ever. Even better than when I was a lightweight, varsity rower at the Ohio State University. After I left rowing, I had a period of low impact workouts which got less frequent over a two year span (the side-effect of being a pre-candidate PhD student). My weight went from ~160 to over 180 and my body fat percentage when over 22%. After two rounds of Insanity I’m down to 162 pounds and my body fat is around 9% (and still decreasing!!!).
