Asylum: Volume 2 is Out Now!

Finally, Asylum Volume 2 is ready and I just received my copy in the mail. So far I’ve done a quick run-through of the workouts and have completed the first called ‘X-Trainer’. As the description says, Volume 2 builds on what Volume 1 worked on: Speed, agility, strength, balance, and coordination. The volume 2 workouts demand these skills because the ladder work is faster and more complicated and this was definitely true in X-trainer. Also, for those of you who were disappointed in the fact that Volume 1 did not come with a dedicated ‘Ab’ workout, you definitely won’t be disappointed with Volume 2’s Ab Sredder. So far, I’m really happy with this new program and I can’t wait to try the Volume 1/Volume 2 hybrid.

Les Mills Combat

I’ve been doing martial arts for over 10 years now and in this time I’ve obtained two black belts (one in Shotokan karate and another in Shito-Ryu karate). So when I first started looking into workout DVDs I had some interest in Tae Bo. Sadly…these never did it for me because the intensity was really low. Especially after doing programs like Insanity, P90X, and Asylum. With that said, I’m really excited about Les Mills Combat which is Beachbody’s MMA styled workkout program which is coming soon. Hopefully it will measure up to my expectations.
